A little taste of Claire's Life
Welcome to my website. My name is Claire Jacobs. I grew up in a large crazy family in Ireland. I’ve always had an interest in cooking and baking, and in 2017 I graduated from the Dublin Institute of Technology with a degree in Baking and Pastry Management.
About six months ago, I decided to move to Budapest. And I love it! So far, no regrets.
In my time here I’ve had numerous opportunities to bake and cook for friends, for colleagues at work, even birthday cakes for my boss. And over and over again I’ve been asked if I could show those eating my creations how to make them. Since I love to teach almost as much as I love to cook, that’s what I’m going to do.
What I do...
My baking classes are about teaching a vital skill, in a fun way. Also learning these skills is a great exercise in mindfulness, as you think about every step of the process, from weighing out ingredients to which order they are combined to give the desired affect, to who you are baking this special treat for.
